Another Monday finished! What a day. Co-workers were all in a great frame of mind. Patrons were fun. And the day went quickly. What more can a librarian ask?
Oh, right--more books! And they arrived. My day is complete. We received some goodies, too. Half a dozen children's books about the Titanic. Down to the Bone by Justina Robson comes to mind. It's book 5 in her Quantum Gravity series. It appears, to me, to be a combination fantasy, sci-fi, and the undead. Should be a hit with our ParaNormal book club.
Oh, I never mentioned that the Hiawatha Public Library has another book club? It's for people who love anything with a "bite." Come to Hiawatha on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 for a bit of blood.
Today is Appreciate a Dragon Day.
Wednesday, January 18 is Pooh Day.
Thursday, January 19 is Tin Can Day AND the anniversary of Edgar Allen Poe's birthday.
Friday, January 20 is the day Aquarius begins.
Saturday, January 21 is International Fetish Day and National Hugging Day.
Sunday, January 22 is Answer Your Cat's Question Day.
Good luck with all of these holidays. It could be a fun week!
Absurdly,
Pat
