E-books! I love my E-reader. Convenient, user-friendly . . . wait! Did I say user-friendly? Well, they are, if you are tech-savvy.
When my best friend was in college I would walk into his computer lab and all of the computers would crash. I would leave and they would work again. I would walk into the lobby of the building housing the main-frame computer (it was a very long time ago!) and the system would crash. (Please realize that this is a major disaster, as everyone was working off of the main frame. There were no PCs.)
I was chased out of more buildings than I could count. I was banned from even thinking about visiting people at work. I was required to write my programs in long-hand and have someone else type the Hollerith cards. When we bought our first Apple computer in '84, Len wouldn't let me in the living room for 3 days. Sigh.
Don't you think it's hilarious, then, that I am the IT person at the Hiawatha Public Library? And the goto person for many of the e-reader questions? ROTFL!
So, back to e-readers--I love them! As long as you are tech-savvy.
Wednesday, January 10, is Peculiar People Day. And Friday the 13th is Blame Someone Else Day.
Absurdly,
Pat
