Time sure flies when you're having fun. Or, as I prefer, time is fun when you're having flies. (Credit to Kermit D. Frog)
We are still putting radio frequency ID tags on all of our library materials at work. I think that the volume has slowed, but I have a feeling that we will be doing this for the next 6 months or so. We should have most of them completed by the end of February. At least I hope so.
Len installed a new RFID pad on a desk tonight, so we are one step closer to being ready for Self-Check. Wish us luck!
I am taking a class at the State Library to learn how to build the library web-site using a content management program called Plone. I'm pretty pumped about it. The first round offers two classes in February and then another advanced class later in the spring. Look out, world, I'm in a new groove!
This week is "Cuckoo Dancing Week" and next week is "Hunt for Happiness Week." Who can resist next week. I do know some people who could use it.
Tomorrow is "Rubber Ducky Day," one of my personal favorites. Friday is "Dress Up Your Pet Day" and I really do know someone who does dress their dog. I hate to admit it, but it's adorable in addition to being warm. (Remember, it's only 5 degrees here!)
And last but not least, January 22, 2011 is "Answer Your Cat's Questions Day." I can't wait. By the way, good luck with that!
Absurdly,
Pat
