What a great week! Washington High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa just finished their run of the Sondheim play "Into the Woods." It was a great cast with sooo many talented students--cast, pit and crew. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience it was. I am very proud to have been a part of it (just a couple of the costumes).
Ah, November 17 is National Homemade Bread Day, November 18 is Married to a Scorpio Support Day, November 19 is "Have a Bad Day" Day, and November 20 is Name Your PC Day. Now if you can't find something absurd in that list of national holidays, then you are as crazy as I am.
I love them all! Bread Day needs no explanation, but Married to a Scorpio Support Day is completely sane. If you believe in that sort of thing (I don't) then you have to admit that Scorpions are a volatile bunch. As I was born on the cusp of Scorpio and Sagittarius, I have always shown confused tendencies. There are notable days when Scorpio is in the ascendency, so to speak. I am definitely recommending that my spouse seek counseling.
What more can I say about November 19. It is sooo contrary that I love it! It's a shame, though, that I can't use it at work. Just with my friends. (Yes I have a friend. A Milky White cow.)
I have already named one of my PCs at work. My desktop was once named Mavis, for reasons best left undisclosed. However, it proved to be a lot like its namesake--contrary. It eventually went to the great PC heaven in the sky. No more power surges or network problems for it. Just unlimited access to the Web and noone pounding on the keyboard.
I hope that you all "Have a nice week."
Absurdly,
Pat
