The Cedar Rapids Public Library has begun the debate about where to build the new library. It's a hot topic, and well deserves as much input as possible. Let their Board of Trustees know what you think.
This week, at the Hiawatha PL, has been a strange mix of normal and odd. It has seemed to have been a long week, but I have gotten little accomplished. I think that everyone feels the same way.
There are only 8 (or so) days left to the summer reading program. I'm sad and glad that it is almost complete. The staff has done a fantastic job this summer and they are to be congratulated. Hmm. How shall I surprise them this year?
Patrons are also to be thanked. We have a great assortment of people and they are the best in Iowa. We reached unprecedented heights this year because of them. Thank you all so very much.
